It Begins Today!
We are just about to move into 1st quarter of 2024! And life continues to have a certain surreality about it.
Many of us will be happy to leave 2023 behind in hopes that the turn of the calendar page will bring drastic change for the better. But global crisis with its far-reaching ramifications continues and seems to be expanding. We have adjusted on some levels and continue to be stuck in others.
But I still believe we can challenge ourselves to take a step back and look for opportunity in the midst of adversity. Life as we knew it continues to be on hold - for a time, it's true...
BUT, do we need to put our dreams on hold as well? Or is now the time to TURN UP THE FLAME, seriously fire up our dreams? What is lost in dreaming - when dreams are purpose-driven?
Our usual January TO DO lists may seem to be a thing of the past, no longer relevant. The resulting sense of defeat has left many of us bitter and utterly deflated.
NO REGRETS!
Let's purposefully change our perspective as we contemplate moving into 2024. True we may not be sure where we're going, but we do know where we've been and I'm sure most of us know where we'd like to be!

To begin we only need to know 3 things:
- Where we were at this time last year,
- How far we've come since, and,
- Where we want to be at this time in 2024.
Let's just relegate the past to the past, knowing that what is now present will become past with every tic of the clock.
Let us resolve to step out confidently and dream BIG DREAMS NOW with the expectation that greatness burns within us longing to accomplish those VISIONS. But how, you might ask. You may be thinking what will make 2024 different is precisely what may make it even harder than ever!
BUT NOW it's time to learn how to TAKE BACK CONTROL of our dreams, of our priorities. NOW we can shape our futures around what matters most to us. There's never been a better time! For many of us, the slate is blank.

A Quality Decision is always the first step, the key to progressing from point A to point B and beyond. No decision, no progress. It's a choice. It involves letting go of whatever is holding you back and determining to be open to positive change. And it's no surprise that forward movement involves a process.
DECISION PROCESS:
- DISSATISFACTION with the present circumstances,
- DETERMINATION to move in a different direction,
- DESIRE for Change,
- RESOLVE, determining not be dessuaded, deterred or distracted,
- VISION for the future,
- A STRATEGIC PLAN (involving purposeful choices),
- COMMITMENT to the Vision and the Plan for completion,
- ACCOUNTABILITY,
- ENDURANCE.
It's simple and straightforward, though not necessarily easy. But the good news is that once the DECISION PROCESS is implemented, it takes on a life of it's own!
